Youth Music

First United Methodist Church offers the youth of our congregation several opportunities to develop and expand their musical abilities.

Youth Touring Choir

This is a group of 6^th – 12^th graders, boys and girls, that will be preparing songs and drama to present in our worship services and at other locations, locally and possibly on trips. For more information contact Santhia Collins at (575)885-3142 or by email at santhia@fumcarlsbad.org.

Youth and Adult Handbells

The more ringers, the better! We can always use more. If you are interested in learning to ring or have previous experience, you are invited to join us as we prepare to minister through the ringing of the Bronze Bells and the Choir Chimes. We play in both services and lead in worship as we present songs, familiar and new. We will participate in special services throughout the year at the church and out in the community. Youth Praise Band

The Youth Praise Band leads worship at UMYF youth gatherings every Wednesday night and at other special events. They also lead worship for the entire church congregation 3 times a year on Sunday mornings.
